Why is it key? There is an opportunity to test more
experimental eyewear designs within A/W and
anticipate the appetite for S/S, making this the
perfect season to test the abstract wire frame.
Capitalise on the appetite for expression and
#artinfashion within the eyewear market, alongside
the continuing use of wire frames. As a
construction concept, take inspiration from the
Inside Out trend direction for the season.
Design details: driven by
womenswear but also applicable to
directional menswear, consider the
frames and lenses as two separate
parts of the same design. Mix
geometric lenses with rounded and
wavy wire frames. Using polished
gold tone or oxidised metals in
contrast to colour-tinted lenses to
drive home the look.
